As the UI/UX Designer , I led the end-to-end design process for Afterparty—from initial user research and wireframing to high-fidelity UI design and interactive prototyping in Framer.
Key Contributions:
Conducted user research to identify core social behaviors and pain points.
Designed intuitive user flows for onboarding, story sharing, and map-based discovery.
Created high-fidelity UI screens with a focus on a modern, bold, and youthful aesthetic.
Prototyped microinteractions and animations to enhance real-time engagement.
Developed and published the interactive prototype in Framer for presentation and testing.
User Research & Insights
Through a series of interviews and surveys with event-goers, professionals, and lifestyle-focused users, we uncovered three core pain points related to after-party experiences:
Uncertainty around after-party logistics
Attendees often struggle to find clear, up-to-date information about timing, venue, and entry requirements — especially on the day of the event.Lack of context around party vibe and expectations
Users want to know what to wear, what kind of music or crowd to expect, and whether it's worth attending — but this information is usually missing or vague.Desire for easy access on mobile, especially for last-minute planning
Whether confirming RSVP status or navigating to the venue, users expect real-time, mobile-friendly access to after-party info.
These insights guided the development of the After Party Details experience, focusing on clarity, atmosphere preview, and mobile-first design.
The After Party feature provides everything users need in one place — from directions and entry info to a visual teaser of the vibe — ensuring attendees feel informed, excited, and confident about the after-party experience.
Discovery & Flow Mapping
Mapped the attendee journey from RSVP to arrival, ensuring clarity and anticipation at every step.
Wireframes & Prototyping
Tested early mobile-first layouts focused on quick access to key details like venue, timing, and dress code.
Visual System & UI Design
Created a bold, nightlife-inspired design system with high contrast, immersive imagery, and event-ready typography.
